Pause. Breathe. Regroup.

Pause. Breathe. Regroup.
It’s that time of year when we look to gather together to host and entertain friends and family and you want things to be PERFECT 55358;56617;.
This time of year can be both exciting and stressful for most women and understandably so, because we want our families and friends to have a great experience with us.
Studies have shown that women are more prone to increased levels of stress during the holidays.
Holiday induced stressors include:
- the stress of travel - feeling pressured to give gifts - feeling like there’s not enough time to get everything together  - feeling anxious about tasks like cooking, cleaning or decorating - feeling like there’s not enough money - feeling overwhelmed with the responsibilities of being a good host.
Recognize when you’re stressed and take some time to yourself by setting healthy boundaries.
Here are 5 ways you can have a stress-less holiday.
1. Be honest with family and friends about your plans; whether you will travel or attend an event.  You get to politely decline. Say no without feeling guilty.
2. Have a spending plan. Take advantage of sales and special offers or make meaningful gifts (heart made) for family and friends.
3. Plan ahead and prioritize your time. - shop online for gifts instead of going to the store, and have each guest bring a dish instead of doing all of the cooking.
4. Ask for help! Connect with people you trust for support.
5. Be sure to plan time for yourself. Make time to relax and unwind and engage in simple activities that will make you feel better. Get the right amount of sleep (at least 7-8 hours).
The holidays don’t have to be perfect and planning ahead will help reduce anxiety and stress so that you can enjoy your time.
